Designing this website included many steps and edits, and there are many components we had to keep in mind including the following.

Colors:

I chose a light beige, ice blue, shades of pink, and shades of brown. The reason I chose these colors was because it reflected the theme of warmth and fun. Beige and brown being warmth, and ice blue and pink being more experimental, and fun.

Design Tools:

I used a combination of wix, figma, and procreate for this design. I originally made the first draft of this website on figma and continued to move to wix. I used procreate to make the logo sketch and figma to refine the sketch.

Typography:

For the typography, I originally picked out Pathway Extreme on Figma but on Wix, this option was not there. I chose a new Gazpacho font in Wix. I also had some trouble finding the correct font and color on the submission sign up sheet but soon figured it out.

Layout:

I made the layout so that things can be easily navigated for the user, mainly using user experience thinking.

Logo Design:

I originally sketched the original design of the Logo on Procreate.  After making the logo on procreate, I tried to insert it into wix but it needed a vectorized svg image. I converted it but the background was black and the background removers did not support svg. The process of the logo was one of my main challenges because I originally didn't know how to convert the logo to svg and then my mentor, Madeleine, found a way to convert it easily to svg by using figma.

My experience with designing this website made me learn a lot of things. I originally jumped into the website, but the brainstorming, mood and all the challenges in all shaped this website to be what it is now.
